Henry Alban Sr b:ca.1804/5 settles in Hampstead District of Carroll county, Md.
A map of Carroll county published in 1862 shows Henry owning a parcel of land near Murphy Run close to the Baltimore county line.
An 1877 Historical Land Map shows two fairly larger tracts of land owned by Henry Sr and Henry Jr(Henry Kelbaugh Alban) in Hampstead district.
One tract located just below George's Run is owned by Henry Jr. Brother John is shown close by in census records and his name does appear on a map of 1862 land holders. By 1916 the upper tract passes to Harvy Alban.
Henry Sr's tract is located below near Murphy's Run on Gross Mill rd.
The 1910 Hampstead Census shows John Franklin his brother Henry Jr and the sons of John Franklin, Irving, Charles E and James.
In 1916 the lower tract seems to have expanded to the western border of Balto County and is owned by grandson James T Alban son of John Franklin and another tract by NW Alban. James is shown at a later address on Grave Run Road and one of his sons, John Daniel gives Millers, Carroll Co as his birth place.
