The first mass emigration of Mennonites from the Cantons of Bern and Solothurn to Baden , Germany took place in 1671. Other migrations would take place between 1710 and 1717.
It would appear that our Jacob Aebi was among those in the later migrations.
Historians agree that Theodorus Durst 1663 was the first Eby to arrive in America.
Our line would not arrive until the year 1728.
